There does appear to be a correlation between grain-free foods and DCM, but there is still a ton we don’t yet understand about it. For starters, it isn’t clear whether it is the absence of grains or the fact that many of these foods contain legumes that is problematic. And for that matter, causation still has not yet been established; we just know that there is an increased incidence of DCM among dogs fed BEG (boutique, exotic, and grain-free) foods.

I know none of that is going to make you feel much better right now, but we wish you the very best.

Meat meals are basically the meat, bone, and other parts of an animal that have been ground up and cooked until all of the water has evaporated.
They sound kinda gross to humans, but they are nutritious, and dogs typically find them tasty.
