Hey, Tammy.
That’s a tough one. I doubt an occasional wipe down with a little bit of rubbing alcohol would cause huge problems, but doing so on a day-in, day-out basis may dry out your pup’s skin and fur. I’d also be concerned about your dogs licking their coats afterward.
Ultimately, I’d recommend running the idea by your vet first.

Our dogs love to romp thru the woods. Consequently they get the Urushiol oil on their coats and expose us all. Giving them a daily bath is not practical. I’ve read that alcohol will neutralize the oil. Would there be any drawbacks to spraying their coats with a light mist of alcohol and then wiping them down with a pet wipe?

I was not in the woods but, my dogs were. When I looked at her ears they were oozing from poison oak. Yes dogs can get poison ivy,oak ect.
