Reader Photos

We love seeing photos of our readers dogs! In fact, we enjoy it so much that we’ve added a photo uploader to the site.

Below, we’ll share a few of our favorites that have come in over the last few months. We obviously can’t share them all, and we still have scads of others tucked away that we’ll share in the future.

But for now, enjoy these great-lookin’ guys and gals (and be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see our submission tips)!

Hamburguesa

We’ll get started with Hamburguesa. Her mom is an Australian shepherd, but it isn’t clear what her dad is. We actually received three fantastic photos of her, but we only have room for one right now.

bichon frise

Snowflake is a 4-year-old bichon frise who has stolen our hearts! Snowflake’s mom sent us a few different photos, but this was easily our favorite!

border collie mix

This little fella is Cubby. Cubby’s mom Christine says that he’s part border collie and part papillon, which we’ll admit is a pretty unusual combo! One thing’s for sure: He’s 100% cutie-pie!

Aussie shepherd

Meet Koro — an Australian shepherd who’s so cute we can’t take it! Just check out his adorable little doggo nose! Thanks to mom Nicole for sharing!

Siberian husky

This husky’s name is either Fulton or Siberia — it wasn’t entirely clear. Either way, we think he’s a gorgeous pupper and we love the white markings on his face. Thanks to his mom Isabel for sharing the photo!

Labradoodle

Some dogs seem to know how cute they are, and Basil seems to be an excellent example. I mean, come on! Just look at this fella’s expression. Thanks to Basil’s mom Janelle for sharing the photo of this charming Labradoodle with us.

Lab mix

That adorable face belongs to Zeus, a 15-month-old Aussiedoor. We’re so glad his mom Cynthia shared this cutie-pie with us!

Mixed breed doggo

Meet Sadie! We only have room to share one photo, but Sadie’s ears looked like that in both pictures her dad submitted. This obviously means that she knows how cute this is and does so on purpose.

Lab-heeler mix

Morgan shared this handsome fella with us! His name is Levi and he has some border collie, Labrador, and Australian cattle dog in his family tree.

American Staffordshire Terrier

This is Shadow, a BEAUTIFUL little blue-eyed Am Staff we simply had to include. Thanks to mom Vanessa for sharing this precious moment with us!

Aussie shepherd -- malamute

According to his mom Sandra, Timber is an Aussie shepherd — malamute mix. We love his gorgeous coat and fantastic name!

Shar pei mix

Louis submitted this great photo of Taz — a shar pei mix. We get it, Taz. Sometimes we don’t want to get out of bed either.

Lab GSP mix

This little cutie is Ash. His mom Meg says that he’s a black-Lab-German-shorthaired-pointer mix. Check out those awesome socks he’s sporting!

Miniature Australian shepher

Boomer is a miniature Australian shepherd, and his mom Megan shared this great photo of him checkin’ out the snow!

Boxer-St. Bernard Mix

This is Esther, a 2-year-old St. Bernard-boxer mix shared by the Auen family. That cutie looks like she needs some cuddling!

Jabbs

Lastly — and I beg your forgiveness for this selfish entry — this gorgeous gal is actually my pooch!

Her name is J.B. (short for Joan of Bark), she’s a 5-year-old Rottie, and I love her so much I can’t stand it. She had been playing fetch in the mud shortly before I snapped this.

Photo submission tips

Hopefully, you’ve already corralled your canine and picked up your camera or phone so you can submit your own photos!

Just be sure to follow these tips to improve the chances that we’ll pick one of yours to share:

  • Submit your photos in a common format, such as .jpg.
  • Horizontal (landscape) orientation is always better than vertical (portrait).
  • We don’t need gigantic photos, but we prefer for them to be at least 800 pixels wide.

Also, be sure to check out our articles about taking photos with your pet!
