Hey, Linc. High humidity will prevent many cooling vests from working properly (living in Atlanta, I know all about 90-degree days with saturated air).

Some owners have had success throwing their cooling vest in the freezer before using it on their pup. This way, it works more like a cooling blanket, instead of relying on evaporation to cool your canine.

But a frozen (or nearly so) vest may be too cold for some dogs (particularly those with short or thin fur), so be sure to consult with your vet first.

Have a doberman 84 lbs and 8 months old. What do you suggest, as we are in a city area where there is hot pavement. Looking a paw boots too
